Top: Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Red Mandarin, Buchu Leaf
Heart: Fresh Rose, White Flowers, Solar Note
Base: Patchouli, Cashmeran, White Musks
Bergamot — Bright, bitter citrus with a faint floral edge. The traditional opening of a chypre, and the first signal of the structure underneath.
Pink Pepper — Rosy and faintly spiced. A crackle of heat against the citrus, and the first hint that this rose will not be a soft one.
Red Mandarin— Sweet, juicy and faintly floral, the ripest of the mandarin grades. It warms the opening and keeps the bergamot from turning austere.
Buchu Leaf — Green, minty and faintly sulphurous, with a blackcurrant facet. Used in trace amounts — it gives the opening its strangeness.
Fresh Rose — Dewy and green rather than jammy. More stem than petal. The heart the whole composition is built around.
Patchouli — Earthy and dark. This is the chypre structure — the material that gives a floral its shadow.
Cashmeran — Silky, velvety, warm. The modern material inside a classic structure: where a traditional chypre would rest on oakmoss, Turmali rests on this. It is why the drydown reads as skin rather than forest floor.
White Musks — Airy and skin-close. They carry the rose outward and hold it there for hours.

"The fragrance of love — tender, passionate love, but also self-love — and there’s no better way to pay tribute to it than with a rose.
This ode to tourmaline is built around a bouquet of roses enhanced with white flowers, a spark of pink pepper for ardour, and a splash of red mandarin for joy. The fragrance deepens with patchouli, echoing classic chypre structures, and is modernized by cashmeran — a silky, velvety material.”
