Top: Aldehydes, Pink Pepper, Elemi, Galbanum
Heart: Frankincense, Myrrh, Iris
Base: Labdanum, Cedarwood, Gaiac Wood, Papyrus, Leather, Vanilla
Aldehydes — Sparkling and abstract, with a faint waxy shimmer. The sharp light at the opening, cutting across the resins before they arrive.
Galbanum — Cold, bitter green. Austere and unsweet, it keeps the composition from ever turning comfortable.
Elemi — Lemon-bright resin. The hinge between the sharp opening and the incense at the heart.
Frankincense — Cool resin with a faint citrus edge. Gives the heart its depth without adding sweetness.
Iris — Cold, powdery, faintly earthy. The most stark material in the composition and among the most costly in perfumery — orris root must be dried for years before it can be used.
Labdanum — Dark, leathery amber. Where the composition gains its weight.
Gaiac Wood — Smoky and faintly tarry, with a rose facet beneath. It carries the smoke.
Papyrus — Dry, woody, faintly smoky. Cuts through the resins and pulls the composition toward stone.
Alcohol Denat, Parfum/Fragrance, Aqua/Water/Eau, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Farnesol, Citral.

"I wanted to represent all the facets of Obsidian stone in this fragrance. The purity of its colour, a deep, bewitching black, through warm, powerful raw materials like Labdanum.
Its sharpness - remember, it's a stone with almost magical virtues, but it's also an ideal stone for a weapon, and there's nothing like a little pink pepper to bring a sharp note to the fragrance! And finally, its mystical and healing properties, through the use of incense, a material that is both spiritual and healing."
